Summer Undergratduate Research Fellowships at UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences:

UT Southwestern announces two programs for 2012:  its Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) and Quantitative and Physical Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (QP-SURF) Programs.  Both run from June 4 - August 10, 2012  and will be offering stipends of $4,000.

DEADLINE: February 9, 2012. For additional information visit: www.utsouthwestern.edu/SURF or www.utsouthwesterm.edu/QP-SURF.

The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) Internship Opportunities:

This internship Program is designed to introduce undergraduate and graduate students to the challenges of conducting energy research.  It is an opportunity to network with world-class scientists using world-class equipment, to expand knowledge of your major field of study and to expose oneself to new areas of basic and applied research.  Participants interact daily with assigned mentors who guide research activities during the internship.  These research activities help transition classroom theory into hands-on experience, helping solve today’s pressing scientific questions. For more information visit: http://www.orau.gov/netl/PIP.htm.

North Dakota State University has announced the continuation of its summer research program for college undergraduate students.  This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in chemistry, biology and other laboratory sciences to apply for fellowships for scientific research.

The 10-week program includes housing and a $4000 stipend, and is an excellent opportunity for students to get hands-on lab experience. For more information, please visit the web site: www.ndsu.edu/cpr.

Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates at Northwestern University
