Stephen Gross, PhD

Assistant Professor
Organic Chemistry

Research in Dr. Gross's lab focuses on three different areas of polymer chemistry.
1. The development of ionic liquid containing composites for use in advanced energy conversion applications (lithium polymer batteries, solar cells).
2. In collaboration with Dr. Latta and Dr. Shaddy at the Creighton dental school, our lab looks at the adhesion of resin modified glass ionomer cements to dentin. We are also currently engaged in the development of new composites with dental applications.
3. In collaboration with Dr. Singh in the Pharmacy school, we are synthesizing polymers that can be used for subcutaneous drug delivery.
