Virtual Tour Stop #1
General Chemistry

Over half of the freshmen students enrolled at Creighton University take General Chemistry. This course covers two semesters. Class sizes are small, with typically 50 – 60 students per section. Your teacher will learn your name and you should feel comfortable asking questions in class. The teachers for this course are shown here.

If you are wondering what your General Chemistry experience might be like, most students report that General Chemistry takes a lot of time and energy — studying. The first semester is similar in content to a high school chemistry course, although there is more depth of coverage. During the second semester, we go into subject areas that are new to many students.

Along with lecture, our General Chemistry students are enrolled in chemistry laboratory as a separate course with a separate instructor.
